Robert J. Dodge Professional Image Award

Recipient must be a member of International ITE; possess demonstrated technical competence and excellent people skills; must have a demonstrated record of service to the profession, the organization, and his/her community; who by personal demeanor and example projects the best image of what a transportation professional should be.

2008 Award Winner: Mr. Todd Brooks, P.E. 


Todd Brooks was presented the Robert Dodge Professional Image Award. Maureen, Todd’s wife, was in attendance for the presentation. Todd has a BSCE from North Carolina State University. He is an active member of the Traffic Engineering Council, and has been an ITE member since 1989.

He has been involved and led efforts in coordinating numerous local and Annual NCSITE meetings. He is a senior traffic engineer and traffic engineering group manager at PBS&J in the Raleigh, N.C. office with 22 years of diverse experience in traffic engineering and operations and transportation planning. Co-workers have described him as someone that has taught them to care about the people they work with, and to be thorough about any task that they take on, and has taught them passion for doing a good job.

The Awards Committee recognized him as someone who has always been behind the scenes to put the programs together or encourage others to get involved, but has never searched out or required special recognition for his efforts. His professionalism, the way he deals with staff and peers, and the manner in which he honors his commitments reflect the high professional standards established by Mr. Robert Dodge.
