A person holding one of the following grades in the national Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE): Fellow, Member, Associate Member, Honorary Member, Life Member, or Retired Member. MEMBERS are permitted to vote for President, Vice-president, Secretary-Treasurer, and one Board Member (who is a MEMBER).
New Member ($15 initial)

New members (affiliate and member) will pay a $15 initial fee which includes their first year membership dues. After the first year, members and affiliate members will pay a $30 fee for each additional year that follows.
Affiliate ($35/yr)

A person in the transportation engineering profession who either qualifies for (but is not a Member of) national ITE, or is accumulating experience towards national ITE membership, including a person holding Institute Affiliate membership in national ITE. AFFILIATES are permitted to vote for two Board Members (who are AFFILIATES)

A person enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate school of recognized standing, to include a student holding student membership in national ITE. STUDENTS are not permitted to vote, but are represented by one ex-officio Board Member appointed by the NCSITE President from each Student Chapter.

NCSITEOfficial listserv
This listserv has been created to replace all existing listservs that you may have been receiving communications from in the past. This listserv, aptly named "NCSITEOfficial", will be used by our Members and Affiliates for dissemination of information to the entire membership.
If you are an Active Member or Affiliate of NCSITE, you CANNOT unsubscribe to this Listserv. This Official List will only disseminate information deemed pertinent to and by the NCSITE Board, committees, and Councils.
Types of communications you will be receiving from this Listserv will include official notices or announcements from International ITE, the Southern District, and the NCSITE Board and Councils, meeting notices and invitations, Newsletters, etc... We intend for each and every Member and Affiliate to be included on this list.
Posting Information to the NCSITEOfficial Listserv
Anyone wishing to have a communication posted to this Listserv MUST forward the information, preferably in an electronic format, to the Operations Committee Chair for review and approval. The 2005 Operations Committee Chair is Jeff Dale. DO NOT SEND information directly to the Listserv, it will not be posted. The Operations Committee may choose to send your communication via the other new Listserv, "NCSITEOptional".

This listserv is maintained by NC State University through the Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE). Linda Collier currently manages the listserv. NCSITE e-mails will come from Linda but they are prepared by Members and Affiliates and approved by the Operations Committee Chair. ITRE DOES NOT compose, format, check spelling, etc...
We hope you will find the changes we have made are an improvement over past efforts to communicate with the entire membership. If you know someone who is a member or affiliate and is NOT receiving listserv e-mail, please let the Operations Committee Chair know.
